Incorporating a Cortex-M33 and full LTE-M/NB-IoT modem with GPS and Bluetooth, this low-power SiP dev kit is ideal for industrial embedded machine learning applications which require sending classification results over long distances.
By pairing this board with the fully supported ST X-NUCLEO-IKS02A1 shield (with on-board accelerometer and microphone), developers can quickly get started collecting data, building and training models, and deploying these models to the nRF9160 DK directly from the Edge Impulse Studio.

Get started building your industrial-grade embedded machine learning applications for the nRF9160 DK today with our getting started guide.
- Purchase the nRF9160 DK microcontroller and X-NUCLEO-IKS02A1 sensor shield.
- Connect the board to Edge Impulse.
- Follow one of Edge Impulse's tutorials on:
- Go to the Deployment tab of your Edge Impulse project, then build and download a ready-to-go binary that includes your machine learning model for the nRF9160 DK; or deploy as a C++ library and integrate the model into your own firmware!
