I'm the founder of Perforated AI, the dendritic intelligence company that leverages modern neuroscience to make neural networks smarter, smaller, and more accurate. Our technology embeds the non-linear decision making processes of biological dendrites into existing neural networks. By fundamentally re-thinking the way AI is built we help unlock unprecedented AI performance. Perforated-enhanced models can be built to be up to 90 percent smaller than traditional neural networks without negatively impacting accuracy or acheive up to 40 percent reduced error rates on the same datasets.

While pursuing a BS in computer science at Carnegie Mellon, I was surprised to learn that today’s neural networks are still informed by decades-old models of biology. This led me to pursue a PhD in Neuroscience at USC and to pioneer multiple breakthroughs in dendritic intelligence. Now, at Perforated, I’m working to build the next generation of AI; one modeled on the modern understanding of biological computation.

In my free time I'm the MC and organizer of Nerd Nite Pittsburgh.  We're the largest chapter of a global organization running stand-up comedy / TED talk shows that start all of our events with a 200 person round of Speed-Friending to build the community.  I love nerding out, supporting other entrepreneurs, and sharing jokes along the way.  If you're building with PyTorch, looking for the next big thing to invest in, or just want to talk my ear off about your passions, I'd love to connect.
